Volunteers are needed to help setup, sell raffles, deliver raffle baskets to winners during the event, and assist in the clean up after the Annual Thanks for Giving Fundraiser.
Saturday, November 19th
Helen Butler Hall, 565 Albany Ave, Amityville
We will have two shifts for volunteers:
Shift 1- 9:00 am ~ 12:30 pm
We will meet at the Amityville motherhouse to begin the setup for the event and transport supplies to the event venue next door
Shift 2- 1:00pm ~ 4:30 pm
This shift will involve selling raffles and helping with cleanup after the event.
All proceeds will go to the Opening Word Program, a literacy, ESOL, and job readiness program for Immigrant Women in the communities of Wyandanch, Huntington Station, and Amityville. It is a sponsored ministry of the Dominican Sisters of Amityville.
