Special Event: A Winter Retreat with St. Teresa of Avila
The celebrated Doctor of the Church, St. Teresa of Avila, shows us how to trust our personal experience of God. You are invited to spend four weeks with us prayerfully Acknowledging that God Dwells in Us, Celebrating the Gifts We Have, Trusting God’s Work in Us, Finding Good Companions, and Turning Our Eyes Upon Jesus.
Using the book, Set the World on Fire: A 4-Week Personal Retreat with Female Doctors of the Church by Vinita Hampton Wright, we will delve into the life and prayer of St. Teresa of Avila.
The author tells us, “What we can gain from spending time with St. Teresa is a sharpened sense of everyday holiness, refined by reasonable discipline and tempered by a reawakened sensitivity to God’s merciful love.”
